All Participants Read:

We reserve the right to refuse service/admittance to anyone. By purchasing a ticket and signing this waiver you acknowledge and agree to:

1. I am 18 years of age OR I am under the age of 18 years and my parent/guardian has read this waiver and rules and has consented to its terms and has consented for me to purchase a ticket.

2. I agree not to participate or enter property unless I am physically, mentally and medically able. I acknowledge that there may be graphic and stressful scenes or situations that can cause distress both physically and mentally.

3. Due to the nature of the woods and property, closed toe shoes are required. High heels, flip flops, sandals, etc. are not allowed as the ground is uneven and sharp objects may get knocked into the path such as sticks, thorns, cactus, etc. Absolutely no bare feet!

4. The following is prohibited on the property and in any structure of Demented Whispers Adventures: Alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons of any kind including replicas/toys.

5. No smoking anywhere on premises, and intoxicated individuals are not allowed on property.

6. Participants will be exposed to very low light situations, sudden movements and sounds, and graphic displays.

7. Participants that suffer from asthma or other breathing disorders, heart disorders, anxiety, or other life-threatening disorders should not enter. Pregnant individuals should not enter due to sudden frights and stress. Participants with these disorders and health issues that decide to enter are entering at their own risk.

8. If a participant loses any personal item or property, it will not be searched for until the next day. Leave all property (including cell phones) locked in your car. Searches will not be performed during operating hours of event and for the safety of employees, none will be sent out to search until daylight hours (after 11 am) the following day. Participants will not hold Demented Whispers Adventures or its staff responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property.

9. Demented Whispers Adventures reserves the right to close, postpone or cancel an event due to weather or other events out of the control of Demented Whispers Adventures. 

10. I consent to the administration of first aid and other minor emergency treatment in the event of an injury or illness and hereby release and indemnify Demented Whispers Adventures from any and all liability or claims arising out of such treatment. If an emergency occurs that requires the need for emergency professionals, supplies or transportation, I acknowledge I am solely responsible for all bills incurred from the use of emergency services.

11. I grant Demented Whispers Adventures unlimited permission to use, reproduce my photograph/video image for advertising while participating in this event. I understand I will not be entitled to compensation from the use of the images or income generated from the images.

12. Demented Whispers Adventures and its staff reserve the right to remove a participant from the house, hike and property for any unruly behavior, touching actors or props, breaking any of the rules as listed or for any other reason they feel requires removal.

13. There shall be no running, pushing, or crossing marked boundaries.

14. Do not touch any actors or staff and they will not touch you.

15. Parts of this event are held in the undomesticated woods. Participants may come in contact with various trees, weeds, vines, grass, plants, rocks, pollen, cactus, moisture, wild animals, snakes, insects, dirt, leaves and any other form of nature. Participant is notified of this in this waiver, on the website, signage upon entering the property and it is the sole responsibility of the participant to decide if they will risk exposure to all the elements of nature and wildlife.

16. Demented Whispers Adventures its volunteers, staff or anyone else associated with Demented Whispers Adventures is not responsible for any injury, illness, mental distress, death or loss to any participant or participant’s property while on the property (including parking lot and surrounding property).

17. Participant will be supplied with a flashlight or lantern for use during the event. Participant understands that they will have to return the flashlight or lantern at the conclusion of the event.

18. Trail boundaries are marked for participant’s safety. Participant agrees to stay within the marked boundaries and understands that injury may result from any part of their body extending past the boundary.

19. At no time a participant will cross any fence line for any reason.

20. For safety purposes, there will be no artificial snakes or snake props placed anywhere near the trail. If a snake is seen in or near the trail it should be assumed that it is real, and participants should not get anywhere near the snake. “Snake!” should be yelled and participant and any other participants should return the direction from which they came and tell the nearest actor or staff about the snake. Actor or staff will notify the nearest appropriate trained staff to remove the snake. DO NOT try to catch or remove the snake. Many in the area are poisonous. 

21.  The following is prohibited during any event: filming of more than 10 seconds , any additional lighting other than what is supplied,  running, touching of actors, other participants or props, horseplay, pushing,  or other potentially dangerous actions.

22. Filming, photography or recording of any kind is strictly prohibited during any paranormal event, séance or mystery game.

23. I understand pets are not permitted on the property.

24. Service Animal Warning: Service animals are allowed, and the service animal owner knows that the animal will be exposed to high stress and fear causing situations. Service animal owner/handler accepts all responsibility for any trauma or damage received to the animal or caused by the animal. Service animal owner is solely responsible for all damage and injury caused by service animal. Due to the elements of nature, wildlife, insects or any other damaging items on the property, protective footwear for service animals is highly recommended. Service animal owner/handler is also responsible for any clean-up made by service animal either from animal relieving itself or damage caused by animal. Demented Whispers Adventures are not responsible for damage received to any service animal. 

 Zederwald’s Demented Manor Participants:

1. Participant understands they are entering a location where documented paranormal-type activity has been recorded. Participant agrees to hold Demented Whispers Adventures, its staff or any other persons associated with the house harmless for any negativity, attachment, scratches, illness, psychological or emotional changes, or any form of manipulation by unseen forces that  participant may experience from the location.

2. Participant will be exposed to low light situations and will be guided through the house and grounds. Participant is expected to stay with the guide at all times unless directed otherwise by guide.

3. Participant is aware that the structure is two-story and a flight of stairs must be ascended/descended to complete the adventure. Handrails are located on the staircase.

4. Participant has the right to refuse to handle any paranormal equipment or try any form of communication at their discretion. Participant must place a check or mark on the appropriate level of participation and initial next to the mark:

 I have read, understand and agree to the above rules and warnings.     

I, for myself or as a legal guardian of participant and on behalf of my/participant’s heirs, assigns, personal representatives and/or next of kin forever WAIVE, RELEASE, DISCHARGDE and COVENANT NOT TO SUE, Demented Whispers Adventures, their volunteers, staff or contractors, WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, and/or loss or damage to person or property, incurred by me in connection with participation in the Event. I further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless  from any loss, Demented Whispers Adventures of Feasibility, cost, claim or damages arising from my participation in or association with activities or events organized and sponsored by Demented Whispers Adventures.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT/RULES AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
